Boris, Beverly (Marriage - 16 Aug. 1958)

Mr. and Mrs. George Kremsretter will be at home to friends the first of the week, following their return from a honeymoon trip to Minnesota, northern Wisconsin and Michigan. Their marriage took place Saturday morning before a nuptial high mass at 9:30 at St. John the Baptist church, Edgar. The Rev. Oscar Cramer was the officiating clergyman.

The bride is the former Beverly Boris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Boris, Route 3, Athens. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Kremsretter, Route 2, Athens.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of nylon tulle with a cathedral train. The bodice was designed with a v-neckline and long sleeves. The very full skirt had layers of net ruffle. A crown of seed pearls and sequins held her finger tip veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of Mamie Eisenhower carnations and redbird roses.

Attending her as maid of honor was her sister, Miss Kathleen Boris. Bridesmaids were Miss Joyce Macjewski of Mosinee, a friend; Miss Joyce Zettler, of Athens, cousin of the bride, and Miss Marlene Kremsretter, a sister of the groom.

They were all gowned alike in white chiffon floor length frocks with very full skirts, short sleeves and flyaway panels from the back of the neckline. Their headpieces were chiffon crowns with a short veil. Pink was chosen for the maid of honor and blue for the bridesmaids. Matching ribbons were tied in their ball bouquets of pink and white carnations.

James Urmanski, Edgar, served as best man for his cousin. James Boris, brother of the bride, James Felzkowski, cousin of the groom, and James Gierl, a friend, both of Athens, completed the wedding party.

Mrs. Boris chose a blue print chiffon dress for her daughter’s wedding and Mrs. Kremsretter wore pink nylon. Both mothers had white accessories and a corsage of pink roses and white carnations.

About 200 people joined the new Mr. and Mrs. Kremsretter at breakfast, served in the church dining room and the supper, served at 4:30. A reception throughout the day was held at the home of the bride’s parents. A wedding dance was held at the Rib River ball room in the evening.

Guests came from Indiana, New Jersey, Illinois, Iowa, Milwaukee, Fond du Lac, Crandon, Wausau, Edgar, Athens, Milan and Abbotsford.

Before her marriage the bride was employed at Wirkus IGA store at Edgar. The groom is employed by Francis Melvin at Abbotsford.
